    Sean and Valerie of SOUNDS FAMILIAR are a dynamic and talented husband and wife singing duo. They have vast musical experience with eclectic styles which cover many genres of music. 

    They have performed in live bands, oldies concerts, outdoor events, restaurants/banquet halls, musical theater and recording studios.

    They have shared the stage either individually or together with  Aaron Neville, Lou Christie,       The Shirelles, The Dubs, The Fireflies, Bobby Wilson, Pepe of Alive and Kickin’, Thin Lizzy,             WVOX radio host Dennis Dion Nardone, Barbara Harris of The Toys and The Brooklyn Bridge.

    They were approached by Sal Corrente of The Dials and The Regents in a re-recording of his original song, “I Really Love You.”

     People often ask, “How did Sean and Valerie meet?”  At a chance meeting in a singing class, they were teamed up to perform a duet. They have been singing together ever since. They are now performing as a successful duo in Sounds Familiar. They enjoy connecting and sharing the love of music with their audiences.

    Sean had a major record contract with Esquire Records / Little Majors Productions with the release of the album, “Matter of Pride.” He has been hired by multiple recording studios to sing original material by songwriters. His favorite being, “On Target” Studios in Fishkill, NY. 

    He is a classically trained tenor from the Westchester Conservatory of Music. He sings in Italian, German, French, and Latin along with a Classic Irish repertoire. 

    He was a lead vocalist for Ambassador Orchestra and In-Transit wedding bands. He has performed in many Classic Rock cover bands in the area.

    He had principal roles in musical theater in South Pacific (Lt. Cable) and My Fair Lady (Freddy).      Sean has been asked to sing the National Anthem “The Star Spangled Banner” and         “God Bless America” on many occasions. The list includes: The Renegades Stadium in Fishkill, NY along with the San Gennaro Feast, Relay for Life, Memorial and Veterans Day, Town Supervisor Inauguration and “Cops vs Kids” charity baseball game all around Yorktown, NY. 

    Valerie has been singing and dancing from a very early age. Her love of performing has taken her on an amazing journey. In college, Valerie performed and choreographed with a dance troupe covering many styles of dance. She also attended SUNY Purchase for classes in Vocal Technique and Performance.

    She has been a lead vocalist in multiple Pop/Rock cover bands. In addition, she has been a background vocalist/dancer for several Elvis Presley tribute artists.

    In musical theater, she has performed in West Side Story, Cabaret, Kiss Me Kate, Aladdin, Nine and South Pacific. As a dance teacher for the NYC Board of Education, she choreographed and directed over sixty musical productions for kindergarten through fifth grade students.
